Today's Buzz: Was gas station wrong to turn away woman wearing a veil?
What's next? Can we refuse to allow people to pump gas if they are wearing t-shirts of the arch-rival New York Jets? Ludicrous? Sure. But no worse than the South Florida woman who says a Chevron employee barred her from a gas station because she wouldn't remove her head scarf. The woman, La-Fleur Mohamed, is a Muslim who says she was denied service because of her veil. Go ahead, try to justify ...

Rich inheritance
Never have so many slippers — and bad Hawaiian T-shirts — been worn in one movie as they are in "The Descendants," one of those rare films with not only serious dramatic clout but offbeat humor, highly spirited characters (albeit ones with a tendency for self-destruction), and plenty of tenderness, profoundness and poetic moments, too.
